With its enormous power, you can speed it up from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.9 to 7.4 seconds. Its V8 engine is perfectly matched to a smooth, fast shifting six speed automatic transmission.

One of the features that you will surely like in the GX 460 is its Crawl Control. This feature micromanages momentum over the toughest terrain, and controls the car at crawl speeds which are between 1 and 3.7 miles per hour. You have five increments to choose from.

The car is also equipped with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS). This system hydraulically links the front and rear stabilizer bars allowing wheel articulation while helping press down on the opposing wheel. Thus contact on the road surface is always maintained.

Fuel Economy

You can’t expect the Lexus GX wits its enormous power to also be frugal in the fuel department. It is rated at 15 miles per gallon in the city, and 20 mpg on the highway. This gives it a 17 mpg combined fuel consumption.

You also need to remember that it needs premium gasoline, not the regular one. However you will not be thinking of economizing on fuel while driving this car. You are after the power that it can deliver.

There are no crash test scores that you can refer to with this car. However, if you will examine its standard safety features, you will know that this car is really safe to drive.

The Lexus GX 460 has many standard safety features that include the Safety Connect, which is a GPS-based roadside assistance system, and the Pre-Collision system that primes the brakes for emergency braking and utilizes a driver monitor system.

In addition, the Lexus GX 460 is also equipped with standard features such as 10 airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, and active front head restraints.

Comfort and Quality

Although the Lexus might look rugged outside, its interior is full of refined items that are also well-built. Its front seats are well padded, providing excellent support and its cabin has good headroom and leg room.

The same goes with its second row, which is not only split but also slides fore and aft so that the passengers can adjust their leg room as well as ease off entry to the third row.

The cabin’s look and feel are really top quality with the controls having better designs and less clutter. And the redesigned controls of the steering wheel with its clean and legible gauge layout lend so much in a pleasant driving experience.
