The Acura Legend is a mid-size luxury car that was produced by Honda’s luxury division, Acura, from 1986 to 1995. It was manufactured in Japan and was originally designed to compete with other luxury cars like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The Acura Legend was known for its smooth ride, luxurious features, and advanced technology for its time. It was offered with either a 2.5-liter or 2.7-liter V6 engine, and was available in both sedan and coupe body styles. The Legend was also one of the first cars to feature a Type II engine, which provided more power and better fuel efficiency.
The Acura Legend was a popular car in its time, and was widely praised for its comfortable ride, solid build quality, and high reliability. It also won several awards, including Motor Trend’s “Import Car of the Year” in 1987.
Production of the Acura Legend was discontinued in 1995, and the car was replaced by the Acura RL. However, many of the design elements and technologies that were first introduced in the Legend have been carried over to other Acura models, such as the TLX and NSX.
While there are no plans to bring back the Acura Legend model, it remains a beloved car among enthusiasts and collectors, and is considered a classic of its era.
