Acura TSX Performance Overview
Sold from 2004 to 2012, Acura’s TSX tracked a compact sport-sedan brief across 19 verified tests, all production examples, with measured acceleration ranging from 8.3 seconds to 5.9 seconds in 0-60 mph runs. Early CL9/CM cars (2004-2008) used the naturally aspirated K24A2 inline-four, rated from 200 to 205 hp, and established the model’s baseline with the 2004 w/Nav Sedan at 7.2 seconds to 60 mph; the 2006 w/Nav Sedan matched that figure, while first-generation results averaged 7.55 seconds.
The CU2/CW2 era, beginning for the TSX in 2009, widened the performance spread. Four-cylinder sedans with the K24Z3 improved the pace, with the 2009 Technology Package Sedan cutting 0-60 to 6.7 seconds. For 2010, the added J35Z6 V6 raised output to 280 hp and produced the model’s quickest verified result: the 2010 V6 Technology Package Sedan reached 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. That same V6 specification also delivered the fastest quarter-mile in the sample, a 14.5-second pass at 98 mph in the 2012 V6 Technology Package Sedan.
By the end of production, the TSX remained gasoline-only, naturally aspirated, and split between quicker V6 sedans and slower practicality-focused wagons, including the 2011 Technology Package Sport Wagon at 8.3 seconds to 60 mph.
