Lexus unveiled its very first hybrid luxury sedan in the United States in 2007. The car also doubles as a sports car. It is equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 engine that can generate 340 horsepower.
Lexus made some minor updates in the exterior of the GS 450h in 2008. These included various trims, new fascias and turn signals were also integrated on the side mirrors. In 2010, new technology was added to the car.

The Lexus GS 450h has effectively combined a 3.5 liter hybrid V6 gasoline and a pair of 650-volt DC electric motors. This enables the car to deliver a total 338 horsepower by using an electronic continuously variable transmission (ECVT), with a total torque of 254 lb.-ft.
