Ram 1500 Performance Overview
Ram 1500 performance across 58 independently verified tests spanning 2011 to 2026 shows a full-size pickup moving from traditional V8 and diesel acceleration into a broader mix of mild-hybrid, diesel, supercharged, and twin-turbo six-cylinder outputs. Early DS-era results were generally mid- to high-7-second 0-60 runs, with the 2011 Mopar Runner Quad Cab reaching 60 mph in 7.0 seconds before the 2012 392 Quick Silver Concept Regular Cab reset the mark at 5.2 seconds. DS trucks covered gasoline and diesel powertrains, from 240 to 470 hp, and included the slowest recorded production result here: the 2015 Big Horn EcoDiesel Crew Cab at 9.0 seconds to 60 mph.
The DT generation from 2019 onward lowered the model’s average pace substantially while widening the engine spread from 260 to 702 hp. eTorque mild-hybrid V8s and V6s, EcoDiesel variants, and the newer Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six engines all appear in the test set. The major breakpoint came with the 2021 TRX Crew Cab, still the quickest Ram 1500 tested at 3.7 seconds to 60 mph and a 12.3-second quarter-mile at 110 mph. More recent DT trucks such as the 2025 Tungsten SST H.O. Crew Cab at 4.7 seconds show that today’s Ram 1500 remains notably quicker than earlier generations even beyond the TRX peak.

How we verify Ram 1500 performance data
Records and averages on this page cover verified production runs only; modified and prototype results are listed by year but never folded into them. We include only independently published road-test results from automotive publications. Manufacturer-claimed 0–60 times are excluded unless clearly labeled. When multiple publications test the same Ram 1500 trim, each run is listed separately — weather, tires, surface, rollout, and instrumentation all affect results.
