The Looks of the 2016 Accord

There is no doubt about it. The new Accord looks way better than the previous one though admittedly the changes are not that numerous. Perhaps the improvements are done in the right places like the redesigned grill that incorporates thicker chrome in the middle. With the slimmer profile of the grill, this makes the car look a lot better than before. This is complimented with the redesigned headlight that is also thinner than before.

With a redesigned front and back end, this new Accord is a beauty. The front bumper also received some upgrades that allow it to accommodate fog lights except for the basic models. LED lights are used in the redesigned taillights section with the lamps connected with a chrome strip that makes the car look classier than ever. The crowning glory of the new 2016 Accord is the redesigned wheel. Now it is sporting a 19-inch alloy that seal the car’s premium look.

The New Accord Interior

The 2016 Honda Accord also sees some significant improvements in its interior. There is the 60/40 split folding rear seats that is also heated on the Touring models. But the biggest change in the Accord’s interior is the integration of a new screen-based display audio system that is completely devoid of knobs and buttons, something that many might find difficult to use. However this new addition comes bundled with Apple Car Play and Android Auto that makes it easy to use with smart phones all too common in today’s personal possession. This integrated screen-based system is a first in Accord’s history.

The clean and sleek look of the screen adds a modern and minimalist feel to the dashboard. This 7.7” screen provides for the display of the rearview and lane watch cameras, trip computer info, text messages, phone calls and turn by turn directions.

Safety Features

The 2016 Honda Accord has many features that add to the safety claims of the car. The new Accord still has the adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning like its predecessor. This allows drivers to be always informed on what is happening on the road and the subtle changes they need to know while driving.

The 2016 model however adds the automatic emergency braking, road departure mitigation (talking about taking it to the next level), and lane-keep assist. All of these features can be had regardless of the model you choose to buy. For the touring model however these safety add-ons are standard.

The multi angle rearview camera is now available in all models improving the overall Accord safety score. Satellite radio and homelink integration can also be secured on all Accord models. The touring Accord brings home features that are truly one of a kind with regards to comfort and automation. It boasts an automatic high beam, rain-sensing wipers, and a reliable front and rear parking sensors.
