Europe all set to embrace the 6th generation Polo



The German giant Volkswagen has unveiled the latest sixth-generation Polo, loaded with the goodness of richer looks complimented by an augmented space and many more features which could take you for a luscious surprise.

The astonishing exteriors incorporate snappy creases and sharp edges to match the class of modern day Golf. The company unveiled the car in as many as 14 body and a dozen of dash colors to facilitate more personalization. Having worked wonders to introduce three standard packages- R-line, Style and Black, Volkswagen has stepped up their game by pitching upon additional interior and exterior personalization across this range of the car.

Having grown a whopping 150 inches in length, the car surpassed its previous counterpart by 3.7 inches in an endeavour to offer greater space to your hitchhikers as well as the luggage with a quarter more trunk space. To be specific with the dimensions, the new Polo evolved with 12.4 cubic feet as compared to its previous version’s 9.9 cubic feet.

A compact class sports car, Polo offers a wider space which derives its foundation from the modular transverse matrix – sustainable engines loaded with the likes of natural gas TGI, the debut of the whole new effective display of Information, up to the minute infotainment systems and not to forget the latest aiding systems – all these features empower the Volkswagen to surpass the historic contours of the company, as quoted by Herbert Diess, the executive chairman of Volkswagen.

Armed with the goodness of a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine, Polo GTI (the top-end model)  derives 197 horsepower which is exclusively delivered to the frontal wheels with the help of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Extracting its essence from a sports framework, the car could be further elevated to an absolute fashionable ‘Sport Elite’ which journeys on 17-inch wheels which could be upgraded to an 18-inch variant.

What sets the new Polo apart from its competitors and previous variants is a plethora of extraordinary exteriors. Laden with the excellence of an exclusive bumper, it is enriched with classic fog lights, the trademark red stripe, a lip spoiler, sports steering wheel, a honeycomb grille roof spoiler, and GTI tagging all over. Enriched with the goodness of the essential checkerboard seats complimented by the red stitching, the Car is a passenger’s paradise.

Standing a notch higher and class apart, the car speaks for its originality and style, becoming one of the yardsticks on the new generation cars to follow. The car is endowed with an expressive design which works wonders to make the compact a perfect blend of style, comfort and luxury in its range.  It is not only trendy but also stands perfectly for our times-– both perceivably as well as scientifically.

The company has come up with as many as four variants of the car that round the range out.  Sitting on 14-inch wheels, and loaded with the goodness of the stylish LED daytime running lights complimented by the assistance upfront, the base model which is the Polo Trendline, provides you with the much needed emergency braking and a keen pedestal auditor.

As we step up the upgraded ladder, the next version we come across is the ‘Comfortline’ which brings in more comfort and unveils the infotainment system complimented by the air conditioning, interior trim and a handful of other luxuries. The ‘Comfortline’ rides upon the 15-inch wheels.

Stepping up the ante, the next variant we come across is ‘Highline’ which a notch higher in the range to offer a rich interior lighting, parking assist sensors and not to forget the leather finishing for the break and shift levers. Directed towards the young drivers, Beats by Dre Edition offers an exclusive sound system operating on 300 watts, complimented by the Beats badging all around.

In order to successfully overcome the rising competition in the hot hatch segment, Volkswagen has embellished more technology from their established cars: Golf and Passat to the latest sixth-generation Polo. This not only incorporates the emergency braking system but also the flexible cruise control. The other key features include: parking assist, pedestal monitoring, blind spot detection, and parking assist. If you are font of the remote engine starting, then the manufacturers have got it covered with the “Keyless Access” feature which highlights the car’s sixth-generation consortium.

With the launch of the all new Polo, the world glimpses over the new “Active Info Display,” which work wonders to renovate the digital gear array and the associated carte. What accompany the infotainment system are the Google’s Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Available in both the diesel and petrol variants, the Polo is expected to greet its European commuters by the end of the year 2017 at $14,520. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t commented on the launch of the new Polo in U.S. yet.
